Teri practiced in college, but back then all she knew about yoga was asana, but she loved how the poses worked her body. Throughout the next 20 years her practice was spotty and still all asana. For a while, Bikram was her style of choice. Then came power yoga… after that a gifted teacher helped her realize yoga is so much more than constantly striving. Teacher training in Spain, with Vidya from Frog Lotus in Massachusetts, taught her about the sutras and the limbs of complete yoga. Teri’s approach as a teacher is definitely flow oriented with adaptations always encouraged. Breath yoked with movement brings one to be mindful of the body’s talk. She is a bit Iyengar-ish about alignment because she feels injuries happen when we ignore structure. One must listen to this physical intelligence and not strive in every class all the time.
